Raheem Sterling scored a hat-trick to help Manchester City to a 5-1 win over Atalanta. So far, Man City has maintained a hundred percent start at Champions League in group C.

However, the game was far from perfect as City’s current defensive vulnerability showed when a Ruslan Malinovskyi penalty gave Atalanta a surprise lead after Fernandinho clumsily fouled Josip Ilicic.

Also, Rodri sustained a hamstring injury and had to limp off the field while Phil Foden was sent off for getting a red card.

But City bounced back as Sergio Aguero equalized after Sterling was fouled by Andrea Masiello. Before the half time, the Argentine had fired the second goal, snatching the lead from Atalanta.

Sterling took over from there, crumbling Atalanta’s defense and firing three extra goals into Atalanta net.

It was a trying match for Guardiola with Rodri’s injury and Foden’s red card. But it was worth it at the end as Man City ended the game with an outstanding 5-1 victory.
