Queens Park Rangers midfielder Eberechi Eze have rejected offer to join Super Eagles for the upcoming 2021 AFCON qualifiers with Benin Republic and Lesotho.

Eze has been quite impressive this QPR season, scoring six goals from midfield position.

It was reported that Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, tried to convince him to join the national team.

Eze, who had played in U-19 in the England squad last year and allegedly assured a place in the U-21 Euro 2020 qualifiers squad, reportedly said he would think about Rohr’s offer.

He even joined the Super Eagles to train in London in 2017, fueling speculations that he’d finally accepted to join the team.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen following a suspected pressure from England.
