Real Madrid failed to top La Liga after a goalless draw against Real Betis on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Earlier today, Barcelona lost 3-1 to Levante leaving the chance for Los Blancos to grab the top spot.

But struggling Betis frustrated the efforts of the 33-time Champions.

Eden Hazard scored the opening goal for Real Madrid at the first half but it was ruled out by VAR. The Belgian hasn’t been in top form since he joined Madrid from Chelsea.

The rest of the game saw the club dominating visiting Betis who continuously countered their attacks.

Betis almost scored when Fekir shot towards Madrid’s net but it was expertly saved by Thibaut Courtois.

The game may be disappointing for Real Madrid but Betis found some sort of satisfaction by going home with valuable points.

Next, Real Madrid will play against Galatasaray in UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. Betis will host Sevilla in La Liga on November 10.
