Chelsea recorded their fifth Premier League victory this season when they beat Watford 2-1 on Saturday at Vicarage Road.

On a day when big clubs like Liverpool and Man City had to struggle to beat their opponents, Chelsea successfully held off Watford late attack.

Tammy Abraham opened the way by scoring in the fifth minute of the game, officially joining Man City’s Sergio Aguero and Leicester’s Jamie Vardy as top scorers of this season with nine goals each.

Watford’s keeper, Ben Foster put a superb performance by saving first half and early second half shots from Abraham, Pulisic and Mason Mount  for his home side.

Despite his efforts, he couldn’t stop Pulisic’s shot, assisted by Abraham’s cross, to enter the net at the 55th minute.

Gerard Deulofeu finally scored a late penalty for Watford and even Foster almost scored a free kick before the referee blew the final whistle.

Chelsea’s win means the Blues are now 3rd on the Premier League table with 23 points while winless Watford remain bottom with only 5 points.
