Barcelona suffered another disappointing day in the hands of Slavia Prague this time by ending Tuesday Champions League group F match in a goalless draw.
Barça had won Prague 2-1 two weeks ago and were hoping to repeat the victory this time at home in Nou Camp.
Although Suarez didn’t feature in the game due to injury, the rest of the Barcelona squad seemed capable of winning the game.
But only Messi managed to come close to scoring with an almost perfect shot that bounced off the post in the 35th minute.
Prague’s goalkeeper, Ondrej Kolar, also saved shots by Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto to deny the hosts victory.
This goalless draw comes three days after Barcelona was defeated 3-1 by Levante to end their unbeaten run this season in La Liga.
Barça remains top of group F with 8 points, Prague 2. Inter Milan and Dortmund have 4 points each and hope to increase their points at the end of their match on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Gerald Pique will not feature in Barcelona’s next match against Dortmund on Nov. 27 due to many yellow card booking during the first half on Tuesday’s match with Prague.
