The January transfer window is approaching and Manchester United have been linked to Lyon star, Moussa Dembele in the past couple of weeks.

Moussa Dembele joined Lyon in 2018 from Celtic FC for €22 million and have scored 23 goals in all competitions for the French side.

The 23 year old has also maintained top form this season by netting 8 goals out of 11 games for his club.

Manchester United are desperately trying to sign him during the January transfer window to replace Romelu Lukaku who joined Inter Milan this summer.

However, recent reports reveal that Chelsea are also interested in the striker. The Blues are currently under FIFA sanctioned transfer ban.

But Chelsea have already appealed the ban which will be heard on November 20 by CAS. Should the appeal be successful, they’ll be free to make a move for Dembele.

Another advantage Stamford Bridge have is the coveted French star still has 2 years in his contract with Lyon and the club isn’t likely to release him in this January transfer window.

This means Chelsea has time to make a move while Man Utd will be forced to join the competition and up their price for Dembele.
