Paris Saint-Germain moved into the Champions League Round of 16 with a narrow win against Club Brugges on Wednesday.

Mauro Icardi scored the winning goal in the first half after VAR ruled it wasn’t an offside.

Club Brugges missed a chance to equalize when Mbaye Diagne missed a penalty shot after being fouled by PSG’s captain, Thiago Silva, in the 18 box.

Although, the French club won, it was a very poor performance on their side. Even Mbappe was frustrated in his several attempts to score and had to be substituted.

Club Brugges had better play and control, with Nigerian Emmanuel Bonaventure frustrating the counter attack by the French giants. Bonaventure also scored at Real Madrid 2-2 home draw last month.

PSG remains top of Group A with 12 points and already booked a place in the round of 16 while Club Brugges is third with 2 points.
