England’s stunning 7-0 victory against Montenegro was marred by fans who booed Joe Gomez as he entered as late substitute.

Gomez booed for his face off with Raheem Sterling who was dropped from the qualifying match against Montenegro.

However, Sterling has taken to twitter to speak against the fans’ behavior against his colleague.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane scored a hat-trick in the first half to get England into Euro 2020.

Kane is 6th in England’s all time top goalscorers with 31 goals.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Marcus Rashford and Tammy Abraham also scored while Montenegro’s Aleksandar Sofranac scored an own goal to help England secure the top spot in Group A Euro 2020 qualifiers.

England boss, Gareth Southgate, hailed his team for their great performance in what is now the Three Lions’ 1000th match.

“In the past we have maybe struggled against lower ranked teams who defend in numbers, but we have players who can open those teams up and a style of play that can do that. We have qualified and done it clinically.” Southgate said.

He also added: “The quality of our attacking play was excellent. We expected to win the group but we’ve totally taken teams apart.”
