Liverpool’s Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson have reportedly pulled out of England’s team that will face Kosovo on Sunday.

Gomez suffered an injury after a knee clash Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier while Henderson is yet to recover from a viral infection.

Jordan Henderson and Joe Gomez will miss England’s final Euro 2020 qualifier in Kosovo on Sunday,” read the official statement on the website of The FA.

“Henderson arrived in camp with a viral infection that has not fully cleared. Meanwhile, his Liverpool team-mate Gomez sustained a knock in training on Friday and has not recovered sufficiently enough to travel,” the statement added.

Recall that Gomez had a face-off with Sterling during Liverpool versus Manchester City clash at Anfield on Sunday, November 10 that resulted to Sterling getting dropped from England’s 7-0 victory against Montenegro.

Gomez was subsequently booed by fans during match against Montenegro and both Sterling and Southgate came to his defense.

While Sterling was called back ahead of clash against Kosovo on Sunday November 17 for his admirable defense for his colleague, Gomez decided to drop out due to injury.

Meanwhile, England has already qualified for Euro2020.
