Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey scored a stunning late equaliser to hold Premier League Champions, Manchester City to a 2-2 draw on Saturday at St James’ Park.
City established their dominance early in the match and were rewarded with a lead goal when David Silva’s backheel pass found Reheem Sterling who scored his 15th goal this season.
But the Magpies equalised less than three minutes later when full-back Jetro Willems received Miguel Almiron’s pass and slotted it into City’s net.
Then Kevin de Bruyne found the net in the 82nd minute for City to get ahead of Newcastle.
Just when all thought the champions had won once again, Shelvey scored an equalizer for Newcastle in the 88th minute.
Guadiola’s side have now dropped 13 points this season.
City will play against Burnley next in the premier league.
