FIFA has been forced to change the host of the final club World Cup in Qatar because the stadium it was scheduled to host has not been tested and approved yet.
The Education City Stadium in Doha was scheduled to host Liverpool’s semi-final on December 18, the third placed play off and final on 21 December.
But since the 40,000-capacity Stadium has not been tested yet, matches will now hold at the city’s Khalifa International Stadium.
The 48,000-capacity Stadium hosted World Athletics Championships in September and October, and was already scheduled to host two games in the seven-team competition.
The organisers believe this change will minimise any disruptions.
