Karim Benzema scored a stunning goal to double seal Real Madrid’s victory over Espanyol in Spanish La Liga on Saturday at Santiago Bernabeu.

Raphael Varane scored his first goal for the season following Benzema’s assist in the 37th minute.

Then Benzema scored the second goal 11 minutes to end of the match after he passed the ball to Valverde who was in the area and recieved the ball back from the Uruguayan before slotting into Espanyol net.

Ferland Mendy’s red card put a dent in Real Madrid’s otherwise good outing which means the French left-back is suspended for next weekend’s trip to the Mestalla to face Valencia.

Next, Real will travel to Club Brugge in the midweek to conclude Champions League group match. Then Valencia will host La Liga giants on Sunday.

Espanyol have a home Europa League game against CSKA Moscow before next weekend’s game with Real Betis.
