Premier League is set to give Richard Masters a permanent job as the chief executive.
Masters has been an interim chief executive since Richard Scudamore left in November 2018.
Masters was the managing director in the organization before he became temporary Chief.
He is the fourth person to be given the job after 18 months search.
Susanna Dinnage and Senior BBC executive Tim Davie turned down the job when they were offered. Media executive David Pemsel resigned due to newspaper allegations about his personal life.
Masters impressed club bosses and they are expected to vote for his appointment during a conference call later on Thursday.
