Former Napoli boss, Carlo Ancelotti, is set to arrive England to hold talks with Everton over his possible appointment as Club’s new manager.
Everton has been in search of a new manager after Marco Silva was sacked and Ancelotti who was sacked by Napoli despite helping them to Champions League last 16, seems a likely replacement.
Ancelotti has also been linked to Arsenal who have spoken to his lawyer but are reluctant to hire him or even hold talks with him.
Everton is reportedly keen to hire Ancelotti due to his big record despite having other candidates on their list. Names like David Moyes, Eddie Howe and Vítor Pereira who pulled out of the list.
But Toffees’ majority owner Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright are said to be more interested in hiring Ancelloti or Diego Simeone.
Meanwhile, caretaker Duncan Ferguson will lead the Everton team to Old Trafford in a clash against Manchester United this weekend.
If he wins like he had done in Premier League game against Chelsea which ended in 3-1, he might be allowed to continue to head the team until the end of the season.
