Leicester City advanced to the semi final of the Carabao Cup 4-2 penalty against Everton after a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night.

The Foxes have been in excellent form this season and currently sit at second position in the Premier League.

Both James Maddison and Jonny Evans scored in 26th and 29th minute respectively to give Leicester a 2-0 lead.

But Everton made a stunning comeback in the second half with Tom Davies’ volley in the 70th minute and Leighton Baines’¬†accurate strike at stoppage time which meant a penalty was needed to determine which team would advance to the semi final.

Leicester won with four goals as Kasper Schmeichel made two saves from Everton. Jamie Carey scored the decisive goal to send the Foxes through.

Next, Everton host Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday while Leicester will visit Manchester City later that same day.
