Arsenal has begun plans to revamp their underperforming squad by swapping former captain, Granit Xhaka for highly valuable Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi.
The preparations began following the appointment of Mikel Arteta as manager last week Friday.
Ndidi who was signed to Leicester City since 2017, has been in excellent form for the club and has attracted the interests of several top European clubs. But Arsenal is confident they can get him.
The Gunners are prepared to add 40million transfer fee to sweeten the exchange of Xhaka for the 23-year- old Nigerian international.
According to justarsenal.com, Xhaka fell out with Arsenal fans and he was only allowed to play under Ljungberg because there was no better alternative.
And now Arteta has officially taken over as head coach, the Spaniard had reportedly been given a list of players to offload and Xhaka is one of them.
But it is left to the coach to decide which might be to give Xhaka the chance to impress him.
