Sadio Mané scored the only goal for Liverpool to win Wolves as they continue this season’s unbeaten start in premier league match on Sunday at Anfeild.

The Senegal international found the ball from Adam Lallana who passed Virgil Van Dijk’s long cross and netted the goal in the 42nd minute.

Mané’s goal was subjected to a lengthy check by VAR to determine if it was a handball before it was approved.

Wolves scored a few minutes later but the goal was cancelled by VAR on grounds of marginal offside.

Liverpool is now 13 points ahead of second placed Leicester City whom they thrashed 4-0 on Boxing Day.

Next, the Reds will host Sheffield United on January 2 while Wolves visit Watford on New Year’s Day.
