Everton deservedly won Brighton 1-0 in premier league on Saturday after their humiliating FA Cup defeat to Liverpool last Sunday.

Brazilian forward Richarlison scored the winning goal after he took Lucas Digne’s pass and shot past Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan at the 38th minute.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin thought he had scored the second goal for Everton but a VAR check disallowed it as handball.

VAR also disallowed the Toffees call for penalty after Theo Walcott appeared to be pulled back by Brighton’s captain Lewis Dunk inside the box.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side now share 11th place with Arsenal while Brighton are 14th with four points above relegation zone.
