Manchester City suffered a terrible blow after Fernandinho’s own goal cost them three points against Crystal Palace in premier league on Saturday at Etihad Stadium.

City seemed to lag behind as the visitors scored the opening goal at the first half through Cenk Tosun’s brilliant header.

Then Sergio Aguero’s two late goals in 82nd and 87th minute put the Citizens in the almost sure path to victory.

Manager Pep Guardiola who was hoping to celebrate his 49th birthday with three points unfortunately watched in despair as Eagles’ Wilfried Zaha stole down the left and put in a low cross which Fernandinho intercepted and ended up diverting into his own net at stoppage time.

The result means City are still second in premier league with 48 points while Palace are 9th with 30 points.
