Real Madrid beat Segunda Division B side Unionistas de Salamanca 3-1 to the the Copa del Rey last 16 on Wednesday at the Estadio Helmantico.

Manager Zinedine Zidane’s strong starting XI for the match took the lead in the 18th minute through Gareth Bale’s low shot from inside the penalty area.

Substitute Alvaro Romero equalised for Unionistas  in the second half through a good run and finish.

But Real quickly took back the lead five minutes through Unionistas defender Juan Gongora’s own goal as he tried to clear Marcelo’s cross in the penalty area.

Then Brahim Diaz burst forward and fired a shot across to score his first goal of the season and a third for Real Madrid in the match.

Next, Real Madrid visit Real Valladolid on Sunday in La Liga while Unionistas play against Alaves II in Segunda Division B same day.
