German side RasenBallsport Leipzig defeated Spanish giants Atletico Madrid 2-1 to reach their first Champions League.

US international Tyler Adams scored the winning goal in the 88th minute. This was after Atletico’s Joao Felix penalty had cancelled out Dani Olmo’s opener for Leipzig.

RB Leipzig was founded in 2009 but surprisingly dominated the ball against three-time runners up Atletico Madrid.

The Bundesliga side will face Paris Saint-Germain for a spot in the finals.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will play against Barcelona while Manchester City clash with Olympique Lyon on Friday.
