Luis Suarez is reportedly furious with new Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman for informing him that his time as a Barcelona player has ended in a one-minute phone call.

Koeman was appointed to replace Setien who was sacked following Barcelona’s disgraceful 8-2 champions league quarter final defeat to Bayern Munich who went ahead to win the title.

Suarez will have his contract with Barça terminated despite scoring at least 20 goals for the club in each of his six seasons since his arrival.

But the former Liverpool player was named among Barcelona senior players who selected to be sold out to allow new players into the club, FrujuSports reported.

However, the 33-year-old Uruguayan was bluntly informed that he would no longer be a Barça player by Koeman in a 60 seconds call.

Suarez had earlier asked the Barcelona board to let him know if he is also up for sale or not as there are reports that his former club Ajax are willing to sign him in a £13.5 million deal.

He said, as cited in The Sun: “There is talk of some names that the president gave, of changes that can be made, but nobody told me that they want to do without me.

“If this is the desire of the club, it would be good if the person in charge who chooses speaks directly to me.”

Meanwhile, Messi, who is reportedly making attempts to leave Barcelona despite one year left in his contract, could reunite with Neymar at PSG as the French club are in hot race to sign him.
