Lionel Messi has returned to training with Barcelona for the first time since fallout with the club.

The 33-year-old who also modelled the Catalan giants’ new kit for 2020/2021 season releasedon Monday morning, was pictured driving into Joan Gamper Ciutat Esportiva after agreeing to stay with the club.

According to reports in Spain, Messi underwent a coronavirus test over the weekend.

Last month, Messi had informed Barça that he wanted to activate his release clause which allows him to leave the club for free.

But Barça refused to grant the request, insisting that the time had passed for the clause to be activated and that the player would need to pay the €700m release clause in his contract if another club wanted to sign him this summer.

Following a meeting between his father and the club, the Argentine made a u-turn and decided to stay at Nou Camp, stating he would never go to court against “the club of his life”.
