Barcelona have agreed to sign Memphis Depay for €30m as part of the club’s efforts to replace some of the senior players who have been offered for sale.

According to Dutch paper De Telegraaf , Barca have had an offer of €25m plus €5m in add-ons accepted by Ligue 1 side Lyon.

Depay will be unveiled as Barcelona player in the next few days, which will officially make him Ronald Koeman’s first signing as Barça head coach.

According to reports, Koeman specifically asked for Depay as the striker had played under him during his time as Netherlands coach on the international level.

The 26-year-old will replace Luis Suarez who is set to leave Barça for Juventus.

But there might be a glitch in the transfer as the Uruguayan refused to leave Nou Camp unless his final year contract with the La Liga giants has been paid.

A reportedly excited Depay is said to be looking forward to joining his countrymen Frenkie de Jong and Koeman in LaLiga.

The attacker joined current club Lyon from Manchester United back in 2017 after a tough 18 months at Old Trafford.
