Luis Suarez became the second fastest player to score 150 goals in La Liga after he found the back of the net in Atletico Madrid’s 2-0 win over Celta Vigo in the La Liga on Saturday.

Suarez surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s La Liga goalscoring record of 140 goals.

The Uruguayan left Barcelona after he was told by head coach Ronald Koeman that he wasn’t in the club’s plans.

He scored a total of 198 goals in 283 appearances for the Camp Nou side, but despite that, the club showed him the exit door.

The 33-year-old then joined Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid where he went ahead to score three goals in just four appearances.

This means Suarez has reached 150 goals in La Liga in just 195 games, after five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo set the records while at Real Madrid.
