Leone Stars captain Umar Bangura has been suspended from the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers return leg against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Bangura, who played the full 90 minutes, picked a yellow card in Leone Stars’ 4-4 draw against the Super Eagles last Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

It was the FC Zurich’s of Switzerland player second yellow card in the qualifying series.

He was booked in Sierra Leone’s 1-0 defeat to the Squirrels of Benin Republic in Cotonou last year.

Bangura was initially excluded from Leone Stars’ squad for the game due to fitness concern.

John Keister’s men will host the Super Eagles at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetown on Tuesday.
