Victor Osimhen has rubbished Napoli medics claims that Nigerian doctors worsened his shoulder injury with their incorrect technique to fix it.

Osimhen injured his shoulder during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone in Benin where he scored in the 4-4 draw.

The Nigerian medical team tried to pop it back into place on the field. But he was eventually removed in the 78th minute of the game and was replaced by Paul Onuachu.

Osimhen was flown back to Napoli to receive further treatments by specialists. However, Tuttosport claims that the shoulder dislocation has fully recovered, but Osimhen still can’t lift his arm properly.

This is allegedly because the incorrect technique used by the Nigerian doctors inflamed a tendon in his shoulder.

However, The Nigeria striker spotted the news on social media and immediately dismissed it claiming that the Nigerian doctors did no harm to him.

Osimhen’s injury means he will not be back in action for a while.

Meanwhile, he has scored two goals in six Serie A appearances for Napoli since joining from Lille in the summer.
