The Nigerian Super Eagles ended year 2020 in 35th position in the last FIFA World ranking of the Year which was released on Thursday.

The ranking was published on world football governing body’s official website.

Nigeria’s latest position is based on failing to win any of their four games played this year with one defeat and three draws.

Nigeria also maintained the fourth position in Africa.

Also teing with Nigeria in the 35th position in the world and fourth in Africa is Morocco.

Senegal remains the best in Africa and 20th in the world. Tunisia are second in Africa and 26th on the globe while reigning African champions Algeria are 31st in the world and third in Africa.

On world level, Belgium retained the first position, followed by France (2nd), Brazil(3rd), England (4th) and Portugal (5th).

The next FIFA World ranking will be published on 18 February 2021.
