Sheffield United are getting ready to sign Nigeria international Josh Maja in the January transfer window.
According to 20 Minute journalist Clement Carpentier via Twitter, the Blades are ‘very interested’ in signing the Bordeaux number 9 when the transfer window opens for business.
And thereare reports that Sheffield United are readying a bid of between €6m and €7m.
However, the South Yorkshire are facing competition from Championship club Birmingham City who are reportedly interested in Maja.
But Sheffield are struggling in the Premier League, scoring only eight goals in fourteen matches. Only Burnley have the worst record in the 2020/2021 season.
Sheffield are hoping to sign Maja to boost their squad and improve their standings in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Maja currently plays for French side Bordeaux where he has register eleven goals in eleven matches.
