Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr. has returned to club training, a month after picking up an ankle injury during PSG’s 1-0 defeat to Lyon at Parc Des Princes on December 13.
The Brazilian forward was stretchered off the pitch in stoppage time of the game. But he has rejoined the team ahead of their next French League meeting against Marseille this midweek as reported by Daily Mail.
Pochettino’s men are currently second on the Ligue 1 table with 39 points – same as Lille with one point behind leaders Lyon.
The Parisians shared a picture of the world’s most expensive player on Twitter on Monday, January 13 with the caption: ‘Look who’s back.’
Neymar has yet to play for PSG under coach Pochettino and it’s unclear whether he will be fit in time to face Marseille in Wednesday’s Champions Trophy.
But his return is good news for PSG who have been plagued with a string of injuries, forcing them to second behind Lyon after 19 games.
